Fantasy Recap - Game Of The Week Wisconsin Witless Wonders (215.6) at New Orleans Sinners (168.5)(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 22, 2008) In a week 16 Dynasty Wars battle, Wisconsin Witless Wonders beat a strong New Orleans Sinners team by a score of 215.6 to 168.5, silencing a partisan crowd of 69,118.
Wisconsin Witless Wonders were led to their 47.1 point victory by a 27.7 point effort from Brandon Jacobs , who got by the Carolina Panthers defense for 87 rushing yards and 3 rushing TDs in addition to 5 receiving yards. With this performance, Jacobs was the number 2 ranked running back for week 16 . They also got help from a 23.5 point effort from Jon Beason , who beat the New York Giants offense for 8 tackles.
"This win was no fluke ," Wisconsin Witless Wonders coach Stingers said.
New Orleans Sinners were helped out in a losing cause by a 30.3 point effort from Peyton Manning , who tore apart the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 364 passing yards and 3 passing TDs in addition to 1 rushing yards. With this performance, Manning was the number 5 ranked quarterback for week 16 . They also got help from a 20.3 point effort from Reggie Wayne , who beat the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 108 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
"Our defense didn't show up today ," New Orleans Sinners coach tbimm said.
Causing further embarrassment, New Orleans Sinners could have scored 222.9 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but tbimm left key players like Dennis Northcutt and his corresponding 20.1 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Wisconsin Witless Wonders to 8-5, and drops New Orleans Sinners to a record of 9-4.
