Hey, do we have a set playoff schedule/structure yet? According to the league bylaws we do not, which is troubling...

Here's my pick:
-8 teams make the playoff (lots of teams make it: check)
-No playoff first-round byes (are these really that great anyway? Let's make it more competitive)
-Playoffs start Week 14, with 4 teams progressing to Week 15, with the Super Bowl in Week 16. (Week 17 is AWFUL in the NFL; I think I started TJ Duckett on the Lions last year. This is definitely the way that the vast majority of fantasy leagues schedule it now, and only seems the sane way to go)
-With head-to-head matchups essentially random scoring-wise, I say the top 3 seeds should be the division winners, with the wildcards decided by win-loss record and then points scored, as standings are determined.

Now I am biased, seeing as I have a losing record. Therefore, I would prefer more teams in the playoffs. We could also have 6 teams in the playoff and run 2 first-round byes, but fantasy football is famously fickle: Carnival Crush has by far the most points in the league, yet is third in his division. I feel as though the top two seeds won't have really established themselves as superior enough to be subjected to 50% less chance of elimination than the other playoff seeds.

Either way (I feel as it has to be one of these two ways), I strongly urge us to have the playoffs starting on Week 14. Really, too much of the integrity (haha) of fantasy football is lost when you have most of the best performers in the game sitting out the last week or playing one series.

Just to clarify:

How are WC teams decided if they have the same overall record? Seeding is decided by head-to-head records, but entry to the playoffs can't, can it? Otherwise you could have a 3-way tie, or some teams could play each other more than others, and such. Correct me if I'm wrong, and since the playoffs are coming up rather soon, this info seems pretty pertinent.

Yes WC's are decided the same way. If H2H is a tie then the others apply. I seriously doubr therev would be a tie after these but if there is we would do a dice roll.

This year the playoffs will styart week 13.

TIE-BREAKS for seeding:
#1 - Head to Head
#2 - Division Record (for WC only)
#3 - Most Overall Points Scored
#4 - Least Overall Points Allowed
