Albuna Buzzards (38) at Redskins (31)

(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 28, 2009) In a week 16 Great Lakes Fantasy Football League classic, Albuna Buzzards beat a strong Redskins team by a score of 38.000 to 31.000, extending the winning streak for Albuna Buzzards to 6 games.

Albuna Buzzards were led to their 7.000 point victory by a 9.950 point effort from Chris Johnson, who beat the San Diego Chargers defense for 142 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 37 receiving yards. With this performance, Johnson was the number 5 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 16. They also got help from a 6.600 point effort from Alex Smith, who got by the Detroit Lions defense for 230 passing yards and 1 passing TD.

"We knew this would be no cakewalk," Albuna Buzzards coach Luca Mastronardi said.

Redskins were helped out in a losing cause by a 10.500 point effort from Donovan McNabb, who beat the Denver Broncos defense for 322 passing yards and 3 passing TDs in addition to 29 rushing yards. With this performance, McNabb was the number 3 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 16. They also got help from a 6.750 point effort from Ray Rice, who beat the Pittsburgh Steelers defense for 141 rushing yards in addition to 14 receiving yards.

"They outplayed us in every phase of the game," Redskins coach Steve Hatt said.

Redskins drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 11 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 16.

This brings the record for Albuna Buzzards to 11-2, and drops Redskins to a record of 8-5.
